Introducing… our very first coloring book! After Introducing… our very first coloring book! After almost a decade of illustrating our way across the state for wedding maps, it was a treat to revisit some MD landmarks for this project too. We also learned a heck of a lot about our state- from historical significance to amazing food to just about every landscape and season (sometimes in the same week #iykyk) there is, Maryland sure does earn its nickname, America in Miniature 😂🖤❤️💛 We could have made this 100 pages, but we got it down to twenty of our absolute favorites.

We hope you guys enjoy coloring this love letter to Maryland as much as we did creating it!

Available NOW on Amazon and right here in Annapolis @hereapopupshop! You can also grab a digital edition (perfect for printing as many coloring sheets as you want, when you want or for digital coloring on your iPad! My kids and I love both!) on our website: shop.littlebitheart.com

I once laid out a proof of a menu card with copy-a I once laid out a proof of a menu card with copy-and-pasted text that the client had sent over, the whole time wondering what “crab meta” was. No prizes for guessing what that was actually supposed to say 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

In honor of crab meta- here are our proofreading tips for couples. Your designer or printer is not going to know all the wedding details, names, etc like you do so proofreading is so important!

– Proofread EVERYTHING, and ask someone else to look it over as well! More than one pair of eyes and multiple checks are the best ways to avoid errors in your final printed piece.

- Print it out! I drag my feet a little on this one but- it does actually make a difference for me. Sometimes you catch something on the print out that you just didn’t see on screen. Print that proof when you get it!

– Read your text out loud or read it from bottom to top (basically, reading backwards so you don’t get tricked by context).

Q: When should we mail our wedding invitations?
A: WORK BACKWARDS FROM YOUR WEDDING DATE :)

Start with the big day, then subtract:
- 1 month: RSVP by deadline
- 2 months: invitation mailing date (6-8 weeks is the norm)
- 5+ months: start invite design process
- 6 to 8 months: save the date mailing date
- 10+ months: start save the date design process

You may want to mail earlier (holiday weekend, destination wedding), adjust your RSVP deadline, skip save the dates… whatever works best for YOUR wedding!

It’s safe to say we love any and all wedding map It’s safe to say we love any and all wedding maps but this little foldout number is one of our all time favorite day of pieces. The cute mini Knob Creek bottle didn’t hurt any either 🥃🖤

It’s so awesome to see couples bring in details to help their guests feel welcomed and loved- whether that’s with a reception map, a weekend itinerary, or a list of their fave bars and brunch spots for the out of towners. We just went to a wedding in rural New Hampshire and what realllllly came in handy was the wedding shuttle bc lemme tell ya, there was no Uber out there hahaha. The front desk at the hotel actually laughed at me when I asked 🤣🤣

Janelle suggested some fun Baltimore themes and once we looked up “salt boxes” @baltimore.saltbox @thebrokenplate_jules well we were off! The spirit of this, the community, the creativity, making something functional and kind of not beautiful- SO beautiful. We love you Baltimore 🖤

One of my kiddos suggested the shaker with heart shaped salt and tbh it is my favorite part of the card. Head over to @baltimoreweds to download and enjoy this year’s pun 😂🧂
